I’d was building a new house in Gillieston Heights and it was nearing completion when a friend asked if I was going to get an independent Handover inspection done. I hadn’t really thought about it until then so did some research online and called a few inspectors. When I spoke with Mal on the phone, he asked questions about the house and who the builder was and genuinely seemed interested so I booked an inspection online through his website later that day.
My builder wouldn’t allow me to be at the inspection when Mal was there and didn’t seem impressed that I’d booked an inspection so I emailed Mal a list of items I wanted to be checked.
Mal’s report was great – it included the items I’d emailed him but also a few more that I hadn’t realised. I had to book in a time with the builder and his supervisor to look at the defects list so it was very handy to have them all there in the report. It also meant that they couldn’t try and get out of doing the repairs or make excuses.
Overall, I’d say having the Handover Inspection was money well spent and can highly recommend Mal Wright.
