I had read an inspection report that was at a property I looked at in Newcastle. The report made the house look too good to be true – there was nothing wrong. I was hesitant though. I’m always wary of something ‘too good to be true’ so I called Mal Wright to do an inspection for me. His reputation as ‘Mr Pedantic’ had me intrigued. I had to wait a couple of days (you’d be worried if they weren’t busy, right?) My reports were emailed the day after the inspection. What a surprise when Mal had picked up about 10 defects inside & outside of the property. A lot were minor problems but there were a couple that needed attention sooner rather than later. It made me sick to think that the other report was being shown to potential buyers giving them false hope. If you’re after an honest inspector, Mal Wright is the only person for the job in my opinion.
