Mal came and did a Handover Inspection for us on a new build in Thornton. We had a few concerns about brickwork and painting which we wanted checked at the time of the inspection. Mal’s office made all the arrangements with the building site supervisor to go there and do the inspection. Our report arrived in a timely fashion but also confirmed that the brickwork was not up to standards, lots of painting needed to be re-done and there were other issues that needed to be addressed. We made an appointment to speak with the builder and took the report with us to back us up. We are currently waiting for things to be rectified by the builder and will be getting Mal back out to re-inspect if it doesn’t look up to scratch. In our opinion, getting the independent inspection done was such a great relief as we were able to go ahead and get the problems rectified before moving into the property.
