My neighbour was selling their house and I noticed Mal’s car parked out the front when he was there doing to inspection. I had thought of selling and moving to a smaller property a few times so I bailed Mal up after he was finished and asked him a few questions. It took me a while to get my head around it but eventually decided I was going to sell so I had Mal come and do a Pest and Building Inspection prior to putting it on the market. It gave me a great insight to what I needed to tidy up and smaller things I needed to fix. After I’d done a lot of work I had Mal come out again and do an ‘updated’ report I could show potential purchasers. It was a fabulous idea – buyers could see straight up what condition the house was in. My house was on the market and sold within 2 weeks. I’m still looking at buying but will have Mal come and do inspections on a new property when I’m ready.
