I had a Handover Inspection done on a new house I was having built in Tenambit. The company I was using for the build weren’t very happy that I was having one done, so that made me even more determined! Throughout the build, I felt like they were missing little things and when I mentioned it I would be told that ‘It was getting done’. Towards the end of the build, I was getting quite frustrated with the supervisor and felt like my concerns were getting put aside. A friend mentioned that I was well within my rights to get an independent inspection done and Mal Wright’s name came up in a few conversations I had with different people. My inspection went ahead and I wasn’t surprised when there were quite a few defects found inside and outside of the house. So, armed with my report, I went back to my supervisor and asked for all of them to be fixed before I moved in!
